Our moderator:

Pilar is a marketing specialist at Terra Localizations. Her professional journey began in graphic design, where she cultivated a passion for coding through web design. Teaching allowed her to combine her interests in design and programming, while marketing and storytelling became her forte. She champions authenticity and passion as the keys to success.

Our panelists:

Marina is an ATA-certified Spanish translator and the CEO of Terra who has worked in localization for two decades. She has extensive experience as a linguist, project manager, and QA professional and is now leading a team of over 200. Specializing in video game localization, she combines her professional skills with her life-long passion for gaming.

Lara is an English-to-Spanish translator and a business development manager at Terra. She has loved video games since she was six years old and has extensive knowledge of the gaming industry. As a Women in Games ambassador, she supports greater representation and inclusivity in gaming, advocating for diversity and equity within the industry.

Melisa holds a master’s degree in policy and management and has been in the localization industry for seven years. She worked as an account manager for five years and as a business development manager for the last two at Terra Localizations. She is part of Women in Localization, she is a Women in Games ambassador, and she co-hosts the Open World podcast on video game localization.

Sara is a localization quality assurance tester specializing in the video game industry. She holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in translation and interpretation, with a focus on Arabic, English, and French. Within two years of joining Terra Localizations, Sara was promoted to coordinator, overseeing the Arabic LQA team and fostering a collaborative environment.

Adri is the director of localization at Terra Localizations, leading a team of 40 project managers, quality assurance managers, and language specialists. With over 12 years in the industry and a passion for gaming, Adri combines a love for technology and problem-solving to streamline localization processes and enhance efficiency.
